Ik zit nu in mijn eindexamenjaar, hierna zou ik heel erg graag de kunstacademie willen doen dus ik ben nu druk bezig met die aanmeldingen. Ik heb mijn middelbare school op het Grotius college gevolgd op havo niveau en in de onderbouw deed ik ook waldorf onderwijs, dus dat is met heel veel creatieve lessen.

Ik heb mijn middelbare school op het Grotius College gevolgd. Hier deed ik in de onderbouw vrije school, Waldorf, dat is een schoolstijl met heel veel creatieve vakken. Ik zit nu in havo vijf en ga over een paar maanden mijn eindexamens doen.

Sinds kinds af aan heb ik altijd al heel veel dingen gemaakt en willen maken. Ik kon ook altijd uren met playmobil spelen en de raarste verhalen bedenken, ook heb ik toen 10 was al mijn eigen bed ontworpen. Rond dezelfde leeftijd mocht ik voor het eerst meedoen met sinterklaassurprises. De afspraak was dan dat je een surprise maakte voor het lootje dat je getrokken had, maar ik vond het zo leuk dat ik er voor iedereen een heb gemaakt. 15 surprises later dacht ik al dat het toch fantastisch zou zijn als je je hele leven zo creatief zou mogen blijven.

This year is my final year of high school, and next year my dream is to go to the art academy. So right now I am in the middle of all the applications and everything. I went to the high school, Het Grotius college in Delft. The first three years I had Waldorf education. This means that you get all the normal school subjects, but in a more creative and free way. At Waldorf we also had extra classes to explore ourselves/what we liked to do. Now I do higher general education and in a few months, I will be taking my exams.

Some things I am interested in are things like living 'zero waste', or at least living with less waste. I have been a vegetarian for almost eight years now and one of the reasons I became a vegetarian, because I didn't want to see animals get killed and after that, I became aware that the meat industry causes a lot of pollution. The last few months I got more into it and I also realized that buying new things isn't that good for the environment. I have told myself that a hundred times but whenever I am in a stationary store I can't help but buy new things. So I have my own collection of pens, pencils, everything to make jewelry, paints, and charcoal. I love to try new things and to learn by doing, but that doesn't get along well with my goal to be better for the environment.

Since I was a little girl I have always loved to make things and create things. I could play with Playmobil for hours and whenever Sinterklaas came I made a lot of surprises. We always celebrated Sinterklaas by creating a surprise for someone else, this way everybody made one and got one. But I loved making them so much that I always made a surprise for all fifteen people who celebrated Sinterklaas with us. I was about 10 years old and even back then I thought to myself that it would be amazing to stay creative forever and get the possibility to make and create things for the rest of my life.
